Jay and the Americans Singer Jay Traynor Dead at 69

Jay Traynor, the singer best known for his stint as the original lead vocalist in Jay and the Americans, has passed away at the age of 69 following a struggle with liver cancer.ABC News Radio reports that Traynor, who had recently been performing with the Tokens, died in a Florida hospital. His passing was confirmed by Jay Siegel of the Tokens, who was described as “acting as a family spokesperson” in ABC’s report.

訃報です。エヴァリー・ブラザースの訃報の記事を読んで、更に調べていたらこんな人の訃報を知りました。ジェイ＆アメリカンズ（Jay & The Americans）は1960年代の米ＮＹ出身のドゥワップ/ブルー＝アイド・ソウル畑のグループ。その中心的存在だった、John "Jay" Traynor 氏が亡くなったそうです。1943年、米ブルックリン出身。享年69（歳）でした。
